Treatment Overview

The Fotona SP Dynamis laser system is a versatile and effective solution used to treat a wide range of conditions. For treatment of the skin, non-ablative to fully ablative, superficial to deep microlaser peels, and full-field to fractional resurfacing, there is an option to suit most aesthetic goals.

How it Works

The Fotona system contains two aesthetic lasers, the Nd:YAG and Er:YAG, to resurface and rejuvenate the skin, treat veins, eliminate vascular and pigmented lesions, and unwanted hair in all skin types, among many other treatments. The Nd:YAG laser uses thermal energy to transform light into photo-acoustic waves to break down deep-lying structures to smooth and resurface the skin. The ER:YAG laser targets the uppermost layer of skin and allows for precise, layer-by-layer removal of the epidermis. The energy of the laser is absorbed by the water content in the skin cells and the tissue can be vaporized. Skin then shrinks to stimulate the production of new collagen in the dermis and the new skin becomes smoother and tighter.

Recovery Time

The Fotona is a highly advanced, minimally invasive, safe option with increased patient comfort and shorter downtimes. Treatments may involve zero downtime, or two to five days of downtime, depending on the type of treatment prescribed. Our goal is to accommodate busy work and life schedules to coincide with effective laser treatments. As recovery times vary per condition, our team will provide recovery recommendations based on your treatment plan during your consultation and treatment.
